Nakfoor Orthodontics Introduces Invisalign: The Results Are Clear

Nakfoor Orthodontics, located in Arlington Heights, IL has introduced Invisalign as a cosmetic treatment option for patients. Consider treatment with Invisalign to obtain the beautifully aligned teeth you’ve always wanted using a virtually invisible aligner customized to your own unique needs.

How does Invisalign work?

During your consultation at Nakfoor Orthodontics, Dr. Nakfoor determines the exact movements necessary to get your teeth into the correct position. Dr. Nakfoor then has a custom-made series of Invisalign aligners created for you and only you. As you replace each Invisalign aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will gently shift until they have straightened to the ideal position Dr. Nakfoor has prescribed.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Clear: Invisalign aligners are clear and virtually invisible.

Comfortable: Invisalign aligners are extremely comfortable made out of smooth, sleek plastic that gently slide over your teeth.

Removable: Invisalign aligners are removable, so you can eat and drink whatever you’d like throughout your treatment- there are no food restrictions! Brushing and flossing are no problem- simply remove your trays.

Convenience: Fewer visits to the orthodontist, meaning fewer interruptions of your busy schedule. You will visit Dr. Nakfoor typically once every 2-3 months to ensure that your treatment progress is on track, leading you to achieving your desired smile results.

The Benefits of Orthodontics

Having a beautiful smile is a very visible benefit of having orthodontic treatment. But there are lots of other benefits as well. Excellent Orthodontic care (with emphasis on brushing) will produce a mouth full of healthy teeth and also properly aligned jaws.

Crooked and crowded teeth are hard to clean and maintain. An unclean mouth can result in tooth decay, gum disease and may eventually lead to tooth loss.

Misaligned jaws can contribute to abnormal wear of tooth surfaces, inefficient chewing function, and excessive stress on gum tissue, which in turn can lead to chronic headaches and face or neck pain.

Orthodontic treatment can be less costly than the additional care required to treat dental problems arising from crowding, jaw misalignment or other orthodontic issues.

If you take proper care of your teeth, you will have a beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime.

Orthodontics for Adults

Adults who choose orthodontic treatment usually do so for two reasons, the first is cosmetic.  They realize the importance of a beautiful smile.  The second is functional and covers a wide variety of dental issues. Adults comprise about one in five orthodontic cases nationwide. In some cases, but by no means all, additional dental work may be necessary before adult orthodontic treatment can begin.  Because adults are no longer growing,  surgery is sometimes required to make the necessary changes to the jaw. Periodontal treatment may be necessary if an adult patient has experienced some breakdown or loss of teeth and the bones that support them.  If you do need additional treatment Dr. Nakfoor will assess that in the initial exam and explain how it will make your orthodontic treatment even more successful.  He will also refer you to trusted colleagues who will be able to provide any additional dental treatment you need.

Orthodontics for Children

Ideally your child’s first orthodontic appointment should occur around age 7.  Dr. Nakfoor will examine your child’s mouth and determine if your child needs orthodontic treatment and then recommend the best age for your child to begin treatment. world time By age 7, most children have their first permanent molars and incisors. This is a good age to identify conditions that may become problematic as the child grows up, such as cross bites, crowding and jaw misalignment. When treatment is started early Dr. Nakfoor can help guide the growth of the jaw and incoming permanent teeth.   Early treatment can also regulate the width of the upper and lower dental arches, gain space for permanent teeth, reduce the likelihood of impacted permanent teeth and correct thumb sucking.   In other words, early treatment can simplify later treatment.
